Mary Porzelt is an accomplished professional designer with special expertise in residential kitchen and bath design. Her career has paralleled much of the building industry's growth since the early 1990s. During this time, she saw a standard of cookie-cutter layouts rapidly replaced by increasingly complex design. In meeting the challenges of today’s sophisticated homes, Mary has relied on the foundations of solid, spatial design, as well as attention to function, code and other requirements in developing both safe and vibrant living spaces. She finds her collaborative approach towards working with building professionals and end users the key to happy results in a people-skills business. Mary has been a design consultant for interior designers, architects, and builders serving regional and national clients since 1999. Mary is a graduate of Chamberlayne School of Design at Mt. Ida College and currently works as the manager and principal designer for Boston Kitchen Design in Needham, MA. Her work can be seen at www.kitchenandbathcabinetsanddesign.com and www.houzz.com/pro/maryporzelt . |
Sara Alberti, owner of Alberti Design Studio, is a Providence-based interior designer with fifteen years of experience working with a wide range of clients from Rhode Island to Boston, the Berkshires and Austin, Texas. Her keen eye for style, color, pattern and scale was honed early on in the fashion industry, where she developed and managed large-scale Private label design projects for companies such as J. Peterman and Talbots. Sara’s extensive experience working directly with textile mills throughout Italy taught her first hand about fabric, color and quality. It was here that she also learned the importance of truly articulating her client’s own aesthetic and vision. By listening closely, and then guiding and navigating the design process, Sara creates original, beautiful and inviting spaces that reflect a homeowner’s own personality and as importantly, work practically for their lifestyle. |
